Dave "Griff" Griffiths. Proprietor, served in the Royal Marines for 22 years before deciding to retire from military life and combine his passion for music and his engineering skills to become a musical instrument repairer. Griff studied Musical Instrument Technology (woodwind and brass making and repair) for 3 years full time at Merton College and has spent time working with the Royal Marines Band Service Instrument Repair Workshop in Portsmouth. Griff is a professional member of the National Association of Musical Instrument Repairers. Griff now provides a personal repair service to customers both in the Westcountry and in London. Griff's fully equipped workshop is located in Exmouth Devon, he also spends 2 days a week in Croydon, S London, where on Thursdays he works in the repair shop at Jonathan Myall Music. Griff has a passion for vintage and modern saxophones . He repairs saxes for Gerry Rafferty's "Baker Street" soloist Raphael Ravenscroft, Pete Long and Barbara Thompson amongst others. Griff plays Alto with the Central Band of the Royal British Legion, plays Tenor with the Embassy Big Band, and Baritone with The Soul Collective in Devon.
